VCQ SUMMER SCHOOL 2022

The school will be held in Vienna from August 29th to September 2nd 2022 and focus on quantum information, highlighting novel concepts and applications that have emerged in recent years. Presented by distinguished physicists, the lecture series will cover quantum computing, quantum simulation, quantum communication and relativistic quantum information. Finally, the program includes networking and social events where researchers in all stages of their careers can meet and exchange their ideas.

Confirmed speakers are: Ivette Fuentes (Institute of physics & astronomy, University of Southampton), Gian Luca Giorgi (IFISC, University of the Balearic Islands), Tobias Heindel (Institute of solid state physics, TU Berlin), Ralf Schützhold (Helmholtz Zentrum, Dresden Rossendorf), Nathan Wiebe (Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory) and Xiao Xue (Qutech Institute, TU Delft).

We would like to encourage PhD and master students to present their research in quantum science in the form of talks and posters. 

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic we sadly cannot guarantee an in-person event. Hovewer, we are hopeful that with current trends the event will take place as planned. We will implement a hybrid event to allow online attendance as needed.
