Austria joins European Declaration on Quantum Technologies
Austria has signed the European Declaration on Quantum Technologies, fostering strategic collaboration among EU member states to advance this field. The declaration has been endorsed by the Austrian Ministries of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF), Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK), and Labour and Economy (BMAW), emphasizing its significant influence on Austria’s research and innovation landscape.
Start-ups in Austria wish for a more visible quantum tech ecosystem
In contrast to Munich or the Netherlands, Austria lacks a recognizable brand for its otherwise well-developing economic ecosystem in the context of quantum technologies. Despite the strong research groups in fundamental quantum science, providing necessary ingredients for economic success, there is still a lack of support. This was the general consensus at the inaugural “National QCI Day.”
