This thesis work is concerned with generation of squeezed states of light in a single-pass configuration and in a pulsed regime. The generation technique is the optical parametric amplification: the optical parametric amplifier - here a PPKTP crystal - is pumped by a pulsed laser beam at 393 nm. The effect of the injection of this pump beam into the PPKTP crystal results in a non-linear second order process that is an interference between the pump and the vacuum fluctuations, leading to a phase-dependent amplification (anti-squeezing) or de-amplification (squeezing) of the vacuum noise level.
