From atomic physics to ultracold quantum gases: a survey for experimentalists

Wed 5.03: Introductory lectures + Planning: During the introductory lecture, two or three time blocks for the next lectures will be identified.

Block *//*1: overview on basic topics related to atomic and ultracold-gases physics atomic properties, interaction and scattering physics quantum many-body physics.

Block 2: basic cooling and trapping techniques for the production and manipulation of ultracold quantum gases.

In each lecture, relevant ground-breaking papers on tunable quantum gases will also be discussed.
